On September 6, 2004, the unidentified remains of a 16-20 year old Hispanic male were found in the desert near the Sasabe Point of Entry in Sasabe, Arizona. This young man was found wearing a navy blue sweatshirt, green denim jeans, and a gray undershirt with sleeves. In addition, he was found wearing Max Air brand high top sneakers.  “Victoriano” Doe was estimated to  be 5’8″, 134 pounds, with curly black hair.

Moxxy Forensic Investigations worked in partnership with the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner to crowdfund all costs associated with this case. Funds have been received and lab work completed.

Investigative genetic genealogy for this case began on April 23, 2024. Research has identified a strong ancestral connection to the Sonora region of Mexico, with particular interest in the areas of Hermosillo, Mazatán, and Ures. Additional areas of interest include Tucson, Nogales, Yuma, and the Calexico/El Centro region of California.
